It is common to see students spend a lot of time on simple 1 mark questions and be left with very little time at the end for solving lengthy 10 mark questions. As a result they miss those last questions altogether, in spite of knowing the answers. So the need fo the hour is to Manage your time effectively right from the beginning of the examination. Let us be real. Exams are pretty awful for a whole bunch of reasons but one of the reasons that probably tops the list is - the Time crunch. You might have prepared well for the exam. But time limits of exam - adds a whole new level of pressure. There are four ways to properly manage your time in exams. Let us discuss each of these aspects 1-by-1. You should practice these principles in every mock test you take before exams. First, always know how much time you have for each question. You can see previous year papers to get a fair bit of idea about the overall duration of the test and number of questions that might appear. Next, divide your time, question wise. making sure you have 15 minutes to spare for final check before submitting your paper. A handy formula can be to spare not more than (2x +/- 1) minutes to answer a question, where x is the total marks allotted for that question. that means -you should try to answer a 1 mark question in maximum 3 minutes, a 2 marks question in maximum 5 minutes and a 3 mark question in maximum 7 minutes, so on and so forth. And that’s not all. There is more to it. Look for the upcoming videos to understand how to write answers precisely, to the point and within the time limit. Thank You.
