What to do during reading time!
Let's go through the first moments of the exam. You need a strategy!
First, calm your nerves and settle into the groove of the things. It’s going to be at least 3 hrs before you can breathe. So buckle up!
Make sure you use this time effectively. 10-15 minutes is actually a good amount of time to wrap your head around the paper. So don't screw it up by staring at the ceiling.
Now, Come back to that big Question.
Read the paper completely-From start to finish. This does not mean you should read it in depth. Instead, skim through and get a rough idea for what each question is asking ?. The purpose of this to get an overview and make a mental checklist:
Start to think or plan your answers.
Pinpoint any question that might be challenging. Prepare yourself to leave it and come back to it later.
In option questions, you need to pick one, that can be done in reading time
Read long questions carefully, understand complicated instructions.
Chalk out a plan to approach the examination.
The more systematic you are, the more marks you get.
